Rory Sloane (ADEL)
WHY?
Sloane is an all-round kind of player. He isn't a huge possession getter, averaging 22.7 disposals a game, with a season high of 30 and a low of 18. He makes up for this with an average of 6.8 tackles a game (season high of 12), which is the 8th most per game in the AFL. He also provides the 4th most inside 50s per game in the AFL, meaning that a lot of his disposals will be high in SuperCoach calculations as they have the ability to set up goals and be in scoring chains. To top that off, he chips in with almost 1 hit-out per game. If that is effective, then there's some extra points!!
HIS SCORING...
The only way to describe his scoring is 'ultra-consistent'. He has only once has dropped below a ton in 2014; and to be fair to him he still scored 83. His scores thus far are 103, 102, 122, 127, 105, 123, 104, 112, 83 & 136. Unlike a lot of PODs or X-factor players, he doesn't go big one game and low the next. He seems to be able to pump out the tons while still managing to hit 120-130+ every few games. I wouldn't go expecting any 150s from him like Rockliff, Pendlebury, Ablett, etc... (His best is 180). But what you can expect is a really consistent performer.
NEXT 5....
It sounds too good to be true but in the next 5 rounds he plays his favourite sides Fremantle and North Melbourne, who he averages 113 & 114 against respectively (his highest scores against them are 180 & 178). He then plays Essendon who he averages 91 against and following that round he plays his third and fourth favourite sides; Port Adelaide & GWS (averages 105 against both).

IF....
....you're after someone that isn't a midfielder then I'd be taking a look at two Sydney guys; Nick Malceski (av 101.9, 3.70% of sides) in DEF and Craig Bird (av 92, 1.64% of sides) for the FWD line.
....you're interested in which PODs I have then check out Matthew Broadbent. He is in 0.88% of sides (about the same as the start of the year) and has been a handy recruit for me. I paid only around 430k for him and sitting at 402k he's even cheaper now. He's averaged 83 and has been fairly consistent. He was sub Round 1 (for a score of 45), but other than that and a poor game when he scored 49, he has had scores all above 70, including 4 tons. His Round 11 score against Melbourne of 114 was his best this season. Other than Josh P Kennedy (SYD) I currently have no other PODs in my side, however at the start of the year I also had Hurn as a defensive POD who I traded due to injury. I also had Mumford (traded) and Parker (currently in my side) in my starting side, who are no longer PODs due to their popularity increasing as the season has gone on.
