It’s better late than never, but with four rounds already under the belt for season 2013 it’s a belated welcome to the NFL fantasy season for 2013.
First things first, and a bit about me. I got interested in this crazy NFL gig back in the late 80s and early 90s, when a few mates started to follow the game – and more particularly, the highlights package that was showcased late on a Tuesday night on…I think it was the ABC? Anyway, I chose the relatively promising (at that time) Cleveland Browns as my team, and have stuck with them ever since – without much success at all. I’ve only recently discovered the joys of NFL Fantasy Football, being involved in a league of work colleagues the last few years. However, it’s fair to say I have now been well and truly hooked – and look forward to sharing the ups and down with you all this season.

I’ll endeavour to compile a weekly wrap up of the weeks highlights in terms of match results and fantasy action, along with three weekly “players of the round” and three “players to watch” who look the goods from a fantasy perspective going forward.
For those interested, my current squad looks like this…
QB - Robert GRIFFIN III (Washington) (On a bye this week – have brought in Cleveland’s new sensation
Brian HOYER for the week)
RB - Matt FORTE (Chicago)
RB - C.J. SPILLER (Buffalo)
WR - DeSean JACKSON (Philadelphia)
WR - Victor CRUZ (New York Giants)
TE - Vernon DAVIS (San Francisco)
Flex WR/RB - Kenbrell THOMPKINS (New England)
K - Greg ZUERLEIN (St Louis)
Def - Arizona Cardinals
(Danny AMENDOLA and an injured Shane VEREEN are on the bench, along with Russell WILSON, Le’Von
BELL and Eddie ROYAL)
Drop us a line and let us know your thoughts on the NFL this year, and more particularly on your squad and potential players you are looking to strengthen it. I’m no John MADDEN, but I’m more than willing to offer my opinions so have a crack and we’ll see what we can come up with as the season progresses.
GO THE BROWNS!
Dave
