If you're like me and it's time to upgrade some midfield players in your SuperCoach team, then now is the time to do it.
My team, as I'm sure is the case with many of yours, is not traveling as well as it could and it is well and truly time to cut some ties with those rookies that have held true. At this stage in the season I am proud to say that I still have James Magner (Melb) and James McDonald (GWS) still bolstering my midfield but now I am cutting the cord, Magner and McDonald are gone.
The first decision I must now make is who I trade Magner ($280,600) for; the two obvious choices are Kyal Horsley ($128,700) who has been outstanding and averaged 92.5 and is only in 2% of teams or Taylor Adams ($136,600) averaging 85 and has the flexibility of going forward as well as midfield.
Obviously my decision will be effected by team selection but I would recommend to anyone reading that Kyal Horsley is the better choice, his form has been excellent and he is slightly cheaper than Adams which could be the difference between upgrading to a Murphy or a Rockliff later on down the line. I decided to downgrade Magner to Horsley and having some cash in the bank this allows me to effectively upgrade McDonald to any player in the competition.
Who to draft? To play it safe with the likes of Scott Pendlebury or risk a soft tissue injury and go with the in-form Brent Stanton? This will be a question that will keep me up all week.
