Joel Selwood - Geelong Cats, $573,200
It's hard to believe this will be Selwood's fifth AFL year, and now he wil be Geelong's number one midfielder.
Since his first season in '07, he has increased his average disposals in each one, going 19, 25, 27 and 28 disposals per season respectively. His SC average follows this similar trend, from 2007 to 2010 his has averaged 78, 98, 110 and 118. Will he continue to improve even further?
So is there a downside to getting Joel? With Gazza gone, Selwood will have each team's best tagger on him each week, something he won't be used to. I will say he may take time to adjust.
So will he stand up with the added responsibility or will the major tag be too much?
Schon's Good Buy Rating: 5 Sherrins out of five. May take time to adjust but well worth it in the end.
