With the rest of the first round so close you can feel it, I re-started tinkering with the side a little bit. Here's what I came up with:
Max to make a Rough start?
I asked the question this morning ‘Would a Max Bailey inclusion effect Jarryd Roughead’s performance?’ The stats say otherwise: since 2010 they’ve played in 4 matches together: and Roughead has averaged an impressive 118 points per game. However, there’s a catch. David Hale didn’t play in any of those matches, in fact, all of Hale, Bailey & Roughead have never played together in the same side.
Rowe Rowe Rowe your boat
Carlton tall-man Sam Rowe seems certain to be make his debut in round one and is a necessity for your bench, be it in your ruck line or forward line. I’d suggest using him in a DPP link with Cox, Ryder or Roughead (if you’re risking it).
