Just as important bringing in the big guns at this end of the year, is finding the right down-grades to sit on your bench. Some will come in, play, and last the season. However, you must be wary to avoid the flash-in-the-pan one off players. I've rated all the playing cheapies this week for your convenience!
Andrew Boston - Gold Coast - Midfielder - $112,700
Boston has the best job security of the new guys coming in this week, as he's already played 5 games this season. However, the sub vest has got him every time. I wouldn't expect that to change a lot either.
Job Security: 3/5 Scoring Ability: 2/5
Lauchlan Dalgleish - Essendon - Midfielder - $115,900
Dalgleish is a speed machine and once again - is perfect fit for the vest. Don't expect too much but he'll give you a handful of points.
Job Security: 1/5 Scoring Ability: 3/5
Nicholas Graham - Carlton - Midfielder - $109,500
Graham has been close to selection for a while, after a knee injury earlier in the year. He's rated very highly as a versatile midfielder, and I wouldn't be surprised if he scores very well. With Malthouse almost giving up on 2013, I'd imagine Graham will play out the year.
Job Security: 4/5 Scoring Ability: 3/5
Nick O'Brien - Essendon - Forward - $204,100
N.O'Brien has played twice in the last month, and scored 60 points against the Giants in Round 17.
Job Security: 2/5 Scoring Ability: 3/5
Lewis Johnston - Adelaide - Forward - $188,300
The former Swan has been in great form since joining the Crows' side - of course with no Jenkins, Walker, Henderson (and Tippett) this week - he's become an important part of Adelaide's forward line.
Job Security: 5/5 Scoring Ability: 4/5
