When you're sussing out your SuperCoach midfield, the likes of Fyfe, Barlow and Pavlich will be looked at. But from the Purple Haze, do not discount David Mundy - and here's why:
Let’s give you some background information on why Mundy is a bit under-valued this season. He began 2011 in a blaze of glory, and averaged a career-best 118 points per game for the first half of the season. This included awesome scores of 138 and 140 and only two matches below 100 (see graphic below).
From Round 18 (including finals) onwards he scored more than 900 points and averaged a tick over 114 points per game. That's up there with Cotchin, Selwood, Boyd, Jack!
With no hiccups thus far for Mundy as his 2013 campaign begins, and two extra spots in your SuperCoach midfield, the more you read about Mundy, the harder he is to resist.
