New prices, less players, and a whole new strategy.
On the eve of the inaugural SuperCoach Finals, I've run my finger over five excellent selects at each end of the ground.

Defenders
Geelong's seasoned campaigner is a terrific bet due to the Cats' history playing in September. He's the third dearest down back but his output will be worth it.
Brandon Ellis - $338,100
Ellis is too cheap - purely for the fact that he started the season in the subs' vest a lot. From Round 5 onwards he averaged 95 points per game, an excellent result for an SC listed backman.
Lots of finals experience for Burgoyne, and he played some great games this time of year last season. Won a Premiership with the Power and will be keen to get one with the Hawks.
Hamish Hartlett - $392,000
After a two week break (for suspension), Hammer will be refreshed and raring to go. He is critical to Port's hopes and will get lots of time in the guts.
Brian Lake - $332,300
It has been an indifferent year for Lake, but his last two matches have netted scores of 95 & 90. At his price, anything over 90 is a big win.
Forwards
Bartel has had a great 2013 season, and there's no reason why that would change this time of year. With three premierships, he knows what it takes.
Matthew Pavlich - $345,500
I don't need to remind you what happened the last time Pav played a final against Geelong: he kicked six goals in a memorable win at the MCG. He is a gun and finals brings out his best.
Matthew Stokes - $408,500
Stokes' year has been sensational and it's surprising that he hasn't received more fanfare. On the other hand, it is a bonus as he'll slip under the radar again on his way to a triple figure score.
Travis Cloke - $412,400
The best players stand up in finals, and big Trav is a match-winner. Contested marks and crucial goals adds up to very strong SC scores.
Gary Rohan - $109,500
Probably a must have. Clears up space in the salary cap and should avoid the sub vest this week (Lewis Jetta is back). The only basement priced player worth getting.
