Bowlers are crucial to any Fantasy Big Bash side, because they are ideally very high scorers.
Every wicket is worth 20 fantasy points, and bonus points are given for economical spells.
Below are who to consider and who to avoid.
The Big Guns
Brad Hogg Perth Scorchers $99,300
Perhaps the only thing better than Hogg's bowling at the last Big Bash were his celebrations.
Nathan Coulter-Nile Perth Scorchers $98,900
He ain't cheap, because of a terrific last series. He's young, quick and very smart. Don't be scared off, even if you've never heard of him.

Mitch Starc Sydney 6s $87,100
All of a sudden the Champions League leading wicket-taker and Big Bash's poster boy is back into Test considerations. There goes regular match time.
Clint McKay Melbourne Stars $71,300
McKay was the 6th highest wicket-taker at the last Big Bash, and has representing Australia in T20 internationals. So he knows what he's doing.
Dirk Nannes Sydney Thunder $53,500
Maybe the best T20 bowler Australia has ever produced. He now plays Twenty20 cricket exclusively, you he'll be in the mood for sure.
Xavier Doherty Hobart Hurricanes $60,900
The 'X' was very good in the last Big Bash, including a best a 4/17. Tight and economical at the best of times and has plenty of tricks up his sleeves.
Shane Warne Melbourne Stars $68,800
Didn't have a big tournament in the inaugural series, but drew crowds and provided good captaincy for the Stars. Is he worth the dough? He is the greatest leg spinner of all time, remember.
Brett Lee Sydney 6s $69,600
Lee's BBL|01 was very good and conceded only 6.48 runs per over in the eventual premiership winning side. I'll pass though, purely because of age.
Worth a shot
Shaun Tait Adelaide Strikers $55,900
The 'Wild Thing', could deliver anything. It's a roll of the dice, but he could finish as the bowler of the tournament.
Ben Cutting Brisbane Heat $34,000
The Brisbane fast man is in awesome form, with bat and ball. Not the most economical but will get wickets.
Gary Putland Adelaide Strikers $36,000
Was injured during last Big Bash, hence the low price. Is in super form and is a great death bowler.
Michael Beer Perth Scorchers $52,700
Former test spinner took six wickets in four matches during the Champions League in winter, with an average of 10 and economy rate of only five! Will work well in tandem with Hogg.
Doug Bollinger Hobart Hurricanes $44,400
Hobart's new recruit has a terrific T20 history (Chennai Super Kings and NSW), and will have to deliver for Hobart if they're to have an impact this year.
Jason Behrendorff Perth Scorchers $34,000
Young WA quick who's been getting lots of game time lately. WA hierarchy rate him.
Jayde Herrick Melbourne Renegades $36,000
He'll have to play, because he's in the Renegades best XI. Whether or not he'll be effective, we'll have to wait and see.
Overseas players
Lasith Malinga Melbourne Stars $98,900
A gun. Not in Sri Lanka's test squad so don't hesitate.
Muttiah Muralidaran Melbourne Renegades $98,900
A world-record holding gun. Don't hesitate.
Dale Steyn Brisbane Heat $95,000
South Africa have matches against New Zealand from Dec 21st. So won't be available for many games.
Sunil Narine Sydney 6s $86,500
He'll miss probably the first two matches (matches against Bangladesh) but is one of the best T20 spinners in the world. Bowled a remarkable 3/9 from 3.4 overs in the World Cup final.
Daniel Vettori Brisbane Heat $73,800
Hurt his Achilles during the World T20, and missed all of NZ's recent Sri Lanka tour. Watch carefully for availability.
Kemar Roach Brisbane Heat $91,500
Roach has a similar availability to Narine and will play after Steyn leaves. So don't have him in your initial squad and wait for him to become an upgrade.
Will they play?
Mitch Johnson Brisbane Heat $85,500
It was a massive resurgence from the bowler everyone loves to hate, MJ. But he bowled well enough in Perth to hint that he'll be put on ice for Sri Lanka.
Nathan Lyon Adelaide Strikers $51,500
It's unlikely he'll get to play many games for the Strikers due to Test duties. He played only two matches last year.
No thanks
Ryan Harris Brisbane Heat $58,900
If he was fit, he'd be playing for Australia. But he's not.
Patrick Cummins Perth Scorchers $66,000
The young tear-away is injured again. So you have to stay away.
Jon Holland Adelaide Stirkers $32,000
Holland slipped under the radar over the winter and got agonisingly close to Australian selection, before getting injured for the summer.
