I believe the decision was a major shift as Sydney looked to lock down after a few Eddie Betts goals, instead Setanta O'hAilpin was gifted a simple set shot.
As Rob of St.Kilda said on the Herald Sun website yesterday: "Scrap the 50m component of it (the rule) then. It's like giving someone the death penalty then finding out the person was innocent. Just award a free kick, that's all."
I wouldn't like to see the points shared, nor would I like the official margin to be changed to 10 points. I would like a rematch, like Collingwood and St.Kilda got last year.
Now that you're thinking how idiodic I am just for mentioning that idea, I'll blow your mind again.
It was Sydney (in 2009) that sparked the stupid interchange rule to be brought in, Jesse White entered the field as the Swans' 19th player against North Melbourne.
Bloody Swans, such a difficult team to follow.
On a lighter note, I'd like to applaude Jake King, Taylor Walker and Andrew Krakouer for their terrific goals on the weekend (I assume they'll be nominated for goal of the year?), and I would like to boo the Gold Coast Suns for their first quarter performance against Essendon (not literally, but I really wanted an upset!).
To finish, I'm just so relieved to get back into competitive SuperCoach, and there's no harder way to start than with a Collingwood bye. I'd love to hear who your captain will be.
