IN: Dempsey
Dempsey will rise in price. Great. Problem is Dempsey is injury prone and we are basing his performances on ordinary teams (North Melbourne and Port Adelaide). Those teams have very bad kicking efficiency and his rebounding is a vital part of his accumulation of points.
IN: Ebert
Ebert seems to be the form player in the competition. Ebert is also a risk but his form is too hard to ignore.
IN: Greene
This combo seems to be a popular one. Anyone who can rack up 31 disposals in a team that gets hammered by 129 points must be a gun. Get him in if you can.
IN: Kennedy
Scored 104 and 67 in his first two games and should be a good option as a bit of a cash cow. Get onto him now!
IN: Magner
If you don’t have him yet, you’re an idiot.
IN: Milera
Milera is an interesting one. A bit similar to Dempsey, Milera is averaging 85 points in 2 games but an 86 from the Gold Coast game and the other 85 from the Port game. I only advise to get him in if you have a plan to downgrade him in 5 or so rounds. So really, you’ll be using 2 trades on him. Also, something else that might deter you from him is that Jason Gram and Adam Schneider are coming back from injury so there won’t be enough room for all three of them. Best case scenario, Milera will play most games. Worst case scenario, he won’t get picked or he’ll get the vest.
OUT: Dustin Martin
You can’t expect him to dish out massive scores against Carlton and Collingwood. Arguably the best midfields in the competition. I admit I was thinking of trading him out but in the long run I believe he’ll come good.
OUT: Broughton
This trade has risk written all over it. If you trade him out for Dempsey and Dempsey doesn’t perform, you’ve just wasted a trade. But if you keep him and he still doesn’t perform, you’ll be losing quite a lot of money. It can work two ways. The way I see it is, if you downgrade Broughton to Dempsey and free up so cash and trade in maybe Ebert and trade out Coniglio and the scores that Dempsey and Ebert accumulate are greater than what Broughton and Coniglio, then those trades have been a success. But if they are similar (let’s say give or take 10 to 15), you’ve just wasted 2 trades.
OUT: Dickson
You’ve picked him for a reason. He’s going to get games (unless he does shit 3 weeks straight). Unless you really need Milera or even Stanley, just keep him on your bench.
