Results from last week Red= Lose bet Green = Won bet
- Joel Selwood ($1.80) vs Jobe Watson ($1.98) - Selwood's kicking efficiency killed me here. At only 52% and 83 points, wasn't not good enough to beat Watson's 101 points.
- Paul Chapman ($1.82) vs Brent Stanton ($1.95) - Both players did really poorly, just happened to be the player I picked to only get 52 points.
- Dane Swan ($1.82) vs Sam Mitchell ($1.95) - Finally back on the winners list with Swan getting 49 disposals and 143 points, easily eclipsing Mitchell's 106 points.
- Scott Thompson ($1.82) vs Matt Priddis ($1.95) - Was actually quite surprised in this outcome. I knew Priddis would score big, just didn't know Thompson would score so poorly by his standards at AAMI.
- Simon Black ($1.85) vs Dayne Zorko ($1.92) - To be honest, this was a no brainer. Close to the end of the season, Black is tiring whereas Zorko is in form. Heaps of late points for Black made it much closer than it really was. Mind you, he was equal disposal getter with 29 for the Lions but Zorko's tackling and goal assists got him over the line.
Value Bets of the week
- Jobe Watson ($1.88) vs Sam Mitchell ($1.88) - These two would go head to head tonight and I'm edging towards Watson again. He's burnt me once but hopefully second time lucky. It will be neck and neck and both will get 100's but in a massive game for the Bombers, Watson should take the biscuits.
- Joel Selwood ($1.85) vs Scott Thompson ($1.92) - Another battle of the heavyweights with two hard nuts going at it. I'm thinking Selwood at Kardinia Park would easily get 100+ and as an outsider, Scott Thompson with his earlier domination against Geelong is really good value but I still think Joel Selwood in this one.
- Nathan Grima ($1.85) vs Jack Grimes ($1.92) - This is a tough one to pick but if Grimes is to play in defence which I'm guess he will with the likes of Thomas and Harvey in North's 50, he shouldn't be able to rack up the points due to his hands being full. Grima on the other hand can shut down a key forward but can play loose man and gather the ball that way. Grima in this one.
- Travis Cloke ($1.70) vs Chad Cornes ($2.12) - Bet on this with caution. We have no idea which Travis Cloke will arrive to the Sydney Showgrounds. The one that will dominate against the kids (like he did against theor the one we've loved to hate in recent times. At $2.12 and with a week's rest, Chad Cornes is great value. I'm going out on a limb and say Cornes in this one.
