Brendon Goddard
He’s a big game player and what bigger home and away clash than Anzac day. Goddard has obviously never played in one before and will be raring to go. Last time he played the Pies he racked up 26 touches and 122 SC points. There will be no tears this week for BJ; I’ll back him in for the medal.
Marc Murphy
Murphy has had a consistent season thus far, with scores of 104, 92, 114 & 98. Last time he played the Crows he was injured early with only 5 touches. Much has changed since then; the crows are a much different side while the Blues are now under Mick Malthouse. Murphy is capable of huge scores and now that Carlton have found their mojo, expect a quality return from the Blues skipper.
Josh Kennedy
He had his coloured lowers last week by his lofty standards, would’ve been many Coaches loop-hole selection and he only delivered 80 points. This week they take on Saint Kilda over in Wellington, it’s expected to be just 17 degrees and typical New Zealand weather. Kennedy will thrive in these conditions on top of the fact he will be raring to bounce back in a big way this week.
Luke Shuey
West Coast are desperate for answers, they need their best players to step up. Luke Shuey who has had just an average season so far needs to lift, and I expect him to deliver. He showed form last week with a season high score of 117, he would be a fairly bold and unique choice as skipper, but he is capable of monster scores.
Harry Taylor
Another left-field option, but Harry will have a day out against the Bulldogs. The dogs have an extreme lack of tall fire power, and wherever Taylor plays, down back or up forward, I can see him dominating in the air. He is in great touch over the last fortnight will to tons to his name; Taylor could rack up some big numbers no doubt.
