Well it must be said that in our first year as a unified team-selection-panel, we have done a mighty fine job. With a score of 2,337 pts last weekend, we had another victory – by 170 pts - which has led us to our final position of third place in our league, sitting at a very respectable position of 7,235th in the entire competition. Nice work people! Now we take on the 2nd placed mob in the first of our finals – a team we outscored by 215 pts last weekend, and we 7 trades still in hand we can only get better. Bring it on.
Heroes : Quite a few in this category, the best being Tom ROCKLIFF (166), closely followed by Dean COX (149) and Trent COTCHIN (144). Others to excel were Brent HARVEY (130), Ryan GRIFFEN (122), Dustin MARTIN (109), Pearce HANLEY (108), Brendan GODDARD (105) and Mitch CLISBY (101).
Villains : Two last minute withdrawals, being Garrick IBBOTSON (0) and Matt PRIDDIS (0), didn’t help the cause although their replacements did well. Others to struggle were Tom MITCHELL (48), Buddy FRANKLIN (53), Jarryd ROUGHEAD (67) and Bryce GIBBS (73).
Its SC finals football time, and the big questions on everyone’s lips are….
(1) Gazza as captain, surely?
(2) Should we look to double-trade upgrade Mitchell to a premium?
(3) Trade Buddy, or move Roughead to forwards and trade Nicholls?
Let us know your thoughts….it’s time to bring every idea to the table.
