Freshmen (newbies): Guys named for their first match of their career, or guys coming back from injury who are dirt cheap.
About to burst: These fellas have played two matches this year, and if you don't jump on them this round, their price will explode. Basically just a warning signal.
Rookie watch: These guys have been in our teams from the start, but by monitoring their break-even every week it's easier to gauge when to jump off them, even if they've served you well. Remember, there's no room for sentiment in SuperCoach.
Cheapened stars: They may not have exactly 'fallen from grace', but it's not unusual for a gun to average 100 yet still see a price drop of $100,000. These guys are the perfect trade-up targets, and a smart selection here is just as important as picking the right rookie.
Freshmen:
Jonathon Patton (GWS) $196,600, FOR
He's not cheap, because he was the number one draft pick, he's got a bad knee, and he's a key forward (inconsistent). I'd just sit back this year and admire his talents. Without committing that is.
Sam Gibson (NM) $106,600, MID
The wraps are huge, the pre-season was okay, the price is great! If his first couple go alright he might see him for the rest of the year!
About to burst:
Aaron Black (NM) $178,900, FOR - Averaging 63
Is he too expensive for a down-grade? Depends on your situation. Job security isn't great either, and after Gold Coast they have Adelaide, St.Kilda & West Coast.
Sam Shaw (Adel) $113,200, DEF - Averaging 74
Looks to be the pick of the round. Should be able to hold his spot down back.
-Bye this week:
Hayden Crozier (Freo) $106,600 MID/FOR - Averaging 42

Cheapened Stars:
Rhyce Shaw (Syd) $370,200, DEF, Ave 66
Two weeks ago you could have got him for around $300,000. That was before he was released off the chain and rediscovered his run off half-back. His break-even is -44 and his job security is as high as anyone at Sydney, maybe a straight swap for Malceski?
Todd Goldstein (NM) $497,200, RUCK, Ave 91
Everyone's talking about Toddy. Averaging 124 in his last three, no Mac means a big tick for Goldstein. His price will reach $600,000. Therefore, he's cheap.
