Well, can you believe it – trade winds is almost non-existent this week. Last weekend produced almost no injuries of note – other than another Collingwood defender biting the dust, the rest were very minor and not even worth talking about. With the bye rounds on the horizon, perhaps it’s time to pack away the trade equipment for this week?
The reprieve from injuries to major players in the Supercoach game lasted only one week, with round 8 dishing us out some significant injuries to some huge names. With your number of trades suddenly declining (and with trade down targets reaching their potential), we are at that stage in the season where it all comes down to balance and necessity. Just how many do you have left and – more importantly - how much do you HAVE to win this week?
Well, what a relief to not have too much to talk about this week. With only three players considered good enough to be listed here as injured, we finally get a respite from the carnage of the past few weeks – and thank god, given some of the players who have been dropped or rested, particularly those at GWS. Wins are gold at this time of year, and can really set up your season – do you need to trade to keep yourself in the contest?
Whilst the number of injuries to emerge from round 6 was not huge, there were some key players go down – none bigger than Swan superstar Adam GOODES.
Season 2012 has not been a pleasant one so far for a number of SC teams, with injuries and last minute withdrawals leaving many sides with doughnuts – very frustrating indeed. If you have lost some more players this week, feast on the info below as we try and provide solutions to your SC problems.
Round 6 brings a slight reprieve from the chaos of last week, although there are still some big name players who have sustained some injuries that will keep them out of your SC team for an extended period of time. For the first time in 2012 we have a second Trade Winds entry for Nat FYFE, who this time really is out for about 12 weeks. Were you an idiot like me and kept him, only to see his price plummet? Let’s see who you can trade him for now….
