Well, can you believe this – it’s Grand Final weekend for fantasy footy fans the country over and, incredibly, there is nothing to take our fancy in Trade Winds! No injuries to major players, no stars rested with “general soreness’ (yet), and no suspensions of note. What that means is that most teams should be going into their Grand Finals with full squads and chock full of confidence – even those teams with no trades left.
So, is there a Trade of the Week nomination?
So, is there a Trade of the Week nomination?
The short answer is no. Trades this week depend on your team balance, and where you might be at a disadvantage against your direct opponent. If you have a trade or two up your sleeve, consider the following players as upgrade targets, who all should have big days out in the final round.
*Trent COTCHIN - Up against the “might” of the Port Power at the MCG, COTCHIN should run riot and increase his chances of winning the Brownlow.
*Brett DELEDIO - See above. I can’t see anyone being able to stop him racking them up.
*Matthew PAVLICH - Will he play or not? Probably needs the run going into the Finals, and what better matchup than against the Demons at home. Could score huge.
Dane SWAN/Dayne BEAMS/Scott PENDLEBURY - The Collingwood trio, on the rebound from two losses in a row, take on the Bombers, who look worse every week and can’t wait for the final siren to end their misery. Could get really, REALLY ugly, with some massive scores for these boys against a midfield that is simply not accountable for their opponents.
Patrick DANGERFIELD - Against the Gold Coast, Dangerfield could do anything and is capable of massive totals at times.
Any of the above players could make a huge difference to your team this weekend, and could well be worthy of your final trade/s for 2012. Hopefully you make the right move and use your trade wisely – good luck to all those in Grand Finals this week…remember, go hard or go home!
