After a long pre-season of intrigue and hype, the SuperCoach season of 2013 is already into it's final home and away match. Whether you are vying for league positions or an overall rank, it is as crucial as even to use your trades to their maximum potential. As usual, My Squad goes through the best trade in options on each line and price bracket.
Robert Murphy - $485,200 - Ave 99
Scott D Thompson - $497,900 - Ave 99
Heath Shaw - $499,900 - Ave 103
The thing with premium defenders this season is there is a lot fo quality at the same level, but no stand outs. This makes investing your time in a POD like Murphy (in 1.7% of teams) or Thompson (in 7.9%) particularly important. Shaw has the best average of all defenders this season, but is also the most expensive.
Michael Hibberd - $432,500 - Ave 95
Charlie Dixon - $426,500 - Ave 98
After stunning the competition by averaging 115 over the first five rounds of the season, Dixon is only just returning from injury set-backs. But a 104 on the weekend means he's worth a real look. Hibberd is the third most prolific defender this year, but has slipped to a reasonable price.
Mark Whiley - $178,100 - Ave 40
Sam Colquhoun - $141,300 - Ave 38
Both Whiley and Colquhoun have forced their way into their respective teams, and have been seen small price rises. However, they are both at an awkward price for a down-grade, I'd pass unless absolutely necessary.
