As Justin tipped, he would return to form against a disorganised Melbourne City, and did he ever. 90 minutes later he had Wellington’s first ever hat-trick and 24 Fantasy Points.
If he was your captain (and I’m lucky enough he was mine), you banked an easy 48 points and a definite rise up the rankings.
STARS
Dino hasn’t been setting the world on fire this season, but two goals in the past three weeks means his season average is over five points per game. If Perth’s outstanding form continues, he’ll continue to score well; it might be wise to grab him before he goes beyond $200k.
Roy Krishna $151k FWD
I could be mentioning any number of Wellington players, but Krishna was in the top couple from the weekend. Krishna’s return to the starting Nix side has netted him 22 points in the last three weeks. Looks really good value up front where standouts are few and far between.
ENIMGA
Montano finally scored his second goal of the season after a five-week goal drought. Newcastle’s forward options look slim and a big weight is on Montano’s shoulders – could this be a sign of things to come? Probably not.
Flops
The season has been tough for City, and even tougher for Ramsay. He has struggled in the left back role and was found out by Nathan Burns once again on the weekend. Only 17 points from seven games means that if you’re part of the 11.6% of teams that have him, get rid of him.
Romeo Castelen $178k MID
Castelen came to the Wanderers promising a lot but so far has failed to deliver. His highest score in a round is a measly five points, so does he deserve a midfield spot? The Wanderers’ double week this round might be the last straw for many coaches.
