Patrick Ambrose (FWD) - Current Price: $102,400 - Breakeven: -64
Tom Cutler (DEF) - $154,400 - -43
Mitch Hallahan (MID) - $123,900 - -16
Darcy Gardiner (DEF) - $117,300 - -13
Ambrose has been missing since round two, due to injury, but he could make his way back into the senior side this week and is the pick of the downgrade options. Even though Cutler has played three games, he’s still a good option, as he was the sub in two of them, meaning he’s not too expensive.
Dump
Xavier Ellis (MID) - $278,100 – 100
Eli Templeton (MID) - $182,700 – 86
Luke Dunstan (MID) - $311,400 – 70
Luke McDonald (DEF/MID) - $315,00 – 63
If you have any of these guys, you should start looking at moving them on. Ellis will start to go down in price, while it’s unclear when Templeton will return. McDonald has the Round eight bye, so look to upgrade him to a gun defender, by then.
Marc Murphy (MID) - $529,300 – 18
Dan Hannebery (MID) - $478,500 – 37
Dane Swan (MID) - $550,600 – 67
Luke Hodge (DEF/MID) - $464,600 – 71
Murphy has been fantastic over the last couple of weeks, after being heavily criticised; it’s not too late to jump on. If you’re looking to upgrade Langdon or McDonald, Hodge is your man. He’s a proven performer and he’s cheap, due to an injury-affected score.
Watchlist
Brendon Goddard (MID) - $514,400 – 197
Joel Selwood (MID) - $598,500 – 196
Pearce Hanley (DEF/MID) - $475,200 – 185
Jarryd Roughead (FWD) - $442,000 - 155
Goddard will be very cheap in a few weeks, so watch how he returns from injury, while Joel Selwood seems the perfect upgrade target, after his bye.
