Premium Locks
Sam Mitchell - $562k
After given DPP status this year and now available to be selected as a DEF/MID which in my opinion has to be locked in your backline, has been a gun in previous years, has onloy averaged under 100 points once in the past 9 years and that one year being 98, his last 3 years has gone 104, 110, 113. Have to lock him in!
Scott Pendlebury - $683k
This guy is now into his premium years as a footballer, now 26, injury free and in form; I believe he needs to be picked in your side, averaged 126 last year and 124 and 129 the previous years has dropped below 100 something like 4 times in the last 3 years. Is my pick for the brownlow. Absolute lock for me.
Patrick Dangerfield - $609k
Also picking up DPP status and being FWD/MID is a delight to all supercoachers, we can select him in the forwardline and have another elite premium in our side without taking up one of our precious mid spots, averaged 112 last year and 118 the year before. Lock him in the forwardline.
NOTE: I’m not even going to talk much about the best in the business Gary Ablett, he is $695k but I believe he is worth every cent, if you don’t have him and your opponent does and he explodes like usual you are going to miss out on big points, cant win without him IMO. Lock!

Mid-Pricers
Matt Suckling - $312k
Suckers had a year to forget in 2013 rupturing his ACL and missing a bucket load of footy, hence his cheap price, come on late in NAB 2 and had 12 touches and looked solid the in the practice match collecting plenty of junk time touches late and finishing with 83 fantasy points, at the price I think he is a must
Dayne Beams - $497k
Is a bit higher priced than the average mid pricer but this guy is an jet, back in 2012 Beamsy was the 5th highest ranked player in the comp averaging 122 and despite playing only 7 games last year courtesy of a quad injury still managed to average 102 showing he is an absolute jet, it fit and firing this pre-season with 35 touches and 3 goals in NAB 1, very cheap for someone of this calibre. Lock
Dale Thomas - $341k
Daisy was hampered with an ankle injury all of last year causing him to only play 5 games with an average of 79, the 3 years before that Daisy averaged 96, 109 and 94. Is now at the blues and looks to be injury free and ready to go, played NAB 2 and started like a house on fire collecting 18 touches through the midfield with 5 marks and 3 tackles. At this price he is very hard to ignore.
Aaron Sandilands - $310k
The big unit played the 7 games last year and struggled massively with injuries including that lingering ‘turf toe’ but was timed perfectly for finals and was one of the best in the finals series and looks ready to roar in 2014, didn’t miss a beat this pre-season playing every NAB game averaging 75% TOG with an average of 87 fantasy points, will make you quick cash. Lock for me

Rookies
DEFENDERS
Luke McDonald – North - $182k
If you are looking for someone with job security and a decent scorer then McDonald is your man. He went pick #8 under the father son rule and was named in the bests for the Roos in both NAB games, in NAB 1 he had 20 touches from 67% TOG and NAB 2 had 19 touches from 87% TOG. Averaging 71 fantasy points for the 2 game respectively. Lukey Mac makes good decisions under pressure. They love him and he will even get a run in the midfield. Lock McDonald on your ground.
Will Langford – Hawthorn - $123k
Langford is shaping to also be a solid option in defence; he had 16 touches and 66 fantasy points in NAB 1 and in NAB 2 he starred with 19 touches 3 goals and 101 fantasy points. If this guy is given a chance early, he is capable of scoring and is worthy a spot in your side
Other DEF rookies to consider:
T.Langdon $117k
A.Georgiou $102k
T.Clurey $123k
MIDFIELDERS:
Jared Polec – Port - $172k
Polec caught my eye the most out of any rookie in the NAB challenge, after coming over from the lions he looks ready to go. Had 20 touches, 5 tackles and 91 fantasy from only 70% TOG and in NAB 2 collected 23 disposals, a super goal and 96 fantasy points. An on ground lock for me
Xavier Ellis – WCE - $159k
Ellis looks to be finally fit and ready to go with a pre season under his belt, has also had amazing stats in the NAB challenge, NAB 1 Ellis had 21 possies and 72 fantasy from 50% game time! And then backed it up with 23 touches and 75 points from 67% TOG, is a gun and especially at that price. Lock
Luke Dunstan STK - $132k
With the saints looking to be really struggling to start the year with Steven, Montagna and Nicky Dal has moved onto another club. Dunstan looks to be really filling the hole there and playing the inside midfielder role, in NAB 2 Lukey fired up with 22 possies, a goal and 81 points, then in the practice match collected another 20 disposals and a goal. Cheaper than most rookies and is a really good kid. Lock him in
Other MID rookies to have a good look at:
Tyson $216k, Michie $172k
Aish $187k
M.Crouch $117k
H.Cunningham $123k
RUCKMEN:
The ruck stocks are very thin this year but here is a couple to consider
Dan Currie – North - $123k
North Melbourne said throughout pre-season that they will be going into the season with 2 ruckman, obviously one being Goldstein, whether Currie is second in line is the question? He played in all NAB games but didn’t really look great. But if he is playing then chuck him on your bench
Fraser Thurlow – Ess - $117k
Big Frase was the talk of the pre-season, with Bellchambers looking to miss a fair chunk of footy for the start of the season, he is mature age and if named would be a really good option for your bench
FORWARDS:
Jay Kennedy Harris – Melb - $117k
JKH burst onto the scene with winning the dees the game in NAB 1 by kicking 3 goals in the last quarter he scored 70 fantasy points in this game and was then rested in NAB 2, his job security is what really impresses me here as I don’t think he will miss too many games especially early. I reckon you have to pick him!
Gary Rohan – Swans - $176k
With not many quality forward rookies this year Rohan really impresses my with his job security as I think he will play all year. In NAB 1 Rohan collected 58 fantasy points and in NAB 2 impressed with 13 touches, 3 goals and 80 fantasy points. Will play and shouldn’t score too badly. Nice option
Zac Merrett – Ess - $117k
Zaccy Merrett really impressed me with his speed and ball skills, was one of the best in NAB 1 collecting 17 possessions from only about 50% game time. Looks a real good kid, may be a chance at getting the green vest, so watch closely and then make a decision from there.
Other FWD rookies to have a look at:
McDonough $155k
Impey $117k
Honeychurch $117k
