4TH TEST WRAP-UP
Big surprise who was the top scorer in this test again. Mitchell Johnson (221) again scored the most points of any player and continues his summer of domination over the English. Chris Rogers (209) and Nathan Lyon (162) both also had games to remember.
There was a bit of fight shown from Englishmen Kevin Pietersen (144), James Anderson (136) and Johnny Bairstow (103) in his first game with the gloves on. It still wasn't enough though and this tour only continues to get more humiliating for England.
Shane Watson (137), Brad Haddin (113) and Ryan Harris (90) all also featured in the top 10 for the match.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
The pitch is looking a bit more green than usual for the SCG, so there is expected to be a bit more assistance for the quicks available on the first few days. The pitch usually cracks up and takes quite a bit of spin from days 3-5, and this match should be no exception.
The temperatures throughout the match are expected to range between 22 and 27 degrees with only the odd light shower. Conditions look very good for cricket.
TEAM NEWS
Australia have the chance to name the same XI for an unprecedented entire five-match series and go up 5-0, so expect them to do everything possible to make sure that their lineup remains unchanged. Ryan Harris and Shane Watson do have niggles however which could change the make up of the side.
Nathan Coulter-Nile is on standby as a direct replacement for Harris, while Alex Doolan will debut at 3 if Watson cannot get up. If Watson's bowling is not available to use, it could also push out George Bailey, who would be replaced by James Faulkner.
England are set to make up to 3 changes. Monty Panesar has hurt his calf which should open the door for young leg-spinner Scott Borthwick to make his debut. Borthwick has 100 wickets at a tick over 30 and also 3 first-class centuries, so he is a good all-round player. Michael Carberry is expected to make way for Gary Ballance, with Joe Root moving to open and Ian Bell to bat at 3. Tim Bresnan could also make way for tall seamer Boyd Rankin.
CAPTAINCY CORNER
Choose against Mitchell Johnson at your peril, but Michael Clarke also loves the SCG. It was here that, two summers ago, he made his spectacular 329* against India.
TRADE TABLE
Your side should be pretty settled now, so you should only need to make a few trades if you have any of Panesar, Carberry or Bresnan in your side. There are plenty of quality options among the Australian players, or Kevin Pietersen and James Anderson seem to have found some form late in the series.
Stuart with kratosFC again scored the highest for the round with a huge 1426 points, which ranked him 15 for the week in the entire competition. His big game has placed him back on top of the ladder, and 50 points clear of Zeus with Lightningboltzzz. It should be a good challenge to see who can take out the competition!
