Big Bash Fantasy is a return to your typical fantasy game, with the inclusion of the all-important salary cap.

The game has just opened, and there is still a little over 3 weeks until the Big Bash starts, so there is plenty of time for you to get your team in!
Selecting your Team
In the Official Fantasy T20 Big Bash, your team is made up of:
The big difference between this and Fantasy Ashes is the salary cap, so it definitely makes for a more strategic game.
Your reserve players sit on the bench, however they are not emergencies, and you will have to manually replace your players on field if you want them to score you points.
Trades
Another interesting part of Fantasy Big Bash is the trading system. With teams having their games staggered across different rounds, trading is far from normal, and if used correctly, can become your own strategic weapon.
There are 9 trade periods throughout the game, 1 between each round of Big Bash matches, and then 1 before the Semi-Finals and another before the Grand Final. You can make a maximum of 2 trades in the initial 7 periods, and then unlimited trades in the last 2.
Now, here is where things are different. You can trade at any time during a trade period, as long as that player is not in the middle of a match. As soon as he has walked off the pitch, though, you can get rid of him and put in someone else who hasn't played yet that round.
You also need to look out for teams that play twice in some rounds. While the Melbourne Stars, Brisbane Heat and Hobart Hurricanes all play 1 game in each round, the other 5 teams all have a bye and later play 2 games in one round.
If all this trade business is making your head hurt a bit right now, don't worry. We will be compiling a trade guide over the next couple of weeks so you can plan your trades properly to get you the most points possible.
Point Scoring
Now we come to the important stuff. Here is a rundown of everything your players score points for.
League Competitions
You can be a part of up to 5 Public/Private Leagues, as well as Leagues with your social networking connections in Facebook and Twitter.
Public and Private leagues can contain from 2-8 players, and a fixture is generated that lets you play head-to-head matches over rounds 2-8. Round 1 is a warm-up, and rounds 9 and 10 (the Semi-Final and Grand Final) don't have head-to-head matches. All rounds count towards your total points though, so they are all just as important.
At SuperCoach HQ we will be running several leagues, and will keep creating more as they fill up. Check our Facebook page for the latest league code if you want to join. Anyone is free to join, the more the merrier!
So I hope everyone is ready for a new, fun and exciting competition coming up over this Summer. The fun and games of T20 Big Bash is a great partner to go with the Test Cricket.
Make sure you sign up for a team and get involved in one of our leagues by checking our Facebook page for the latest league code.
Over the next 3 weeks we will be doing more articles on some good buys, as well as a trading guide, and if you ever need some advice, shoot us a question at any time!
