SuperCoach 2012 has started and now we know which rookies have been named and will play early on.
Below is vital information - you don't want to pick the guy who will play once and be dropped, but you don't want to miss out on the draftee who plays every game in his debut season.

Jarrad Boumann - Defender, $113,200
Can hold his spot in the Hawks defence with a few solid games, with only Murphy and Puopolo to return. He could be a smart and unique option for your defence, if there is still room for another rookie there.
Broc McCauley - Ruckman, $231,500
Not the smartest choice, even though he'll be seriously unique. Roughead and later on Bailey
will return, so holding his spot is unlikely, even though the stocks are very thin at Hawthorn. He average 61 from three matches with the Lions last year.
Jackson Paine - Forward/Defender, $106,600
Young forward who has been named at CHF in his first AFL match. Wouldn't be surprised if he's around for a bit, but with Beams, Didak and Wellingham to return, it mightn't be long enough for a significant enough price rise.
Peter Yagmoor - Defender, $106,600
Touted as the next Leon Davis, whether or not Marty Clarke and Yagmoor can stay in the same side together remains to be seen. He's still only 18 but could be smart gamble.
Paul Seedsman - Midfielder, $113,200
It's great that he's been given a go in the AFL, but out of the other Collingwood debutants he is last on my wish-list. Being only available as a midfielder doesn't help. Stay off for now, if he sets it alight bring him in for round 3.
James Magner - Midfielder, $94,700
They said he had a sore finger, but he's straight into the round 1 side. Enough said.
Josh Tynan - Defender, $106,600
A wildcard for your defence. Haven't ever seen him play so it's hard to know, but the Demons aren't really missing anyone from their defence. Slot him in and cross your fingers. Scores of 10, 26 and 31 in NAB matches aren't encouraging.
Aaron Hall - Forward, $106,600
He set the NAB cup alight in the first round-robin three way matches, but didn't do much after that. A burst player, he's a 21-year old who can also play off half-back, as well as in the forward pocket. Seriously consider for a bench spot, starting though, probably not (early on at least).
Josh Mellington - Forward, $170,800
Expect him to be given a red-hot go this year. Scored 93, 49 and 49 in the NAB cup, exactly what you want from a player of his price. Job security might be an issue after five or so rounds if he doesn't perform as well as he should.
Billie Smedts - Forward/Defender, $113,200
Most people will have Smedts and so they should - he's a high draft pick and will given early games. Where is his best value though? In the forward line, I reckon.
Orren Stephenson - Ruckman, $106,600
Another no-brainer courtesy of the Cats. 29 year old ruckmen don't get recruited to play reserves. He'll play and should slowly improve his SC output too.
Clay Smith - Midfielder, $116,600
Could well be the Tom Liberatore of this year. Taken pretty early in the draft, and praised by the club on numerous occasions for his super-hard attack on the footy, it won't be a surprise if Smith plays more than 15 matches this season.
Tory Dickson, Matthew Panos - both Forward, both $106,600
Very hard to split these two, Dickson is 24 from Bendigo in the VFL, and Panos is 21 and from Williamstown. I didn't expect them both to be named round 1, but obviously the search for Barry's replacement is well and truly on. One will cement their spot and keep it, just not sure who it is yet.
Jarrad Redden - Ruckman, $113,200
Oh yes - Port's number one ruckman right now is making his debut this weekend. Perfect for the ruck bench and could prove to be very handy come the bye time. Slot him straight into R4.
