Freshmen (newbies): Guys named for their first match of their career, or guys coming back from injury who are dirt cheap.
About to burst: These fellas have played two matches this year, and if you don't jump on them this round, their price will explode. Basically just a warning signal.
Cheapened stars: They may not have exactly 'fallen from grace', but it's not unusual for a gun to average 100 yet still see a price drop of $100,000. These guys are the perfect trade-up targets, and a smart selection here is just as important as picking the right rookie.
Freshmen:
Andrew McInnes (Carl) $113,200, DEF
The tall-ish McInnes has been in the system two years now, and will likely help out the Blues down back.
Tom Derickx (Rich) $113,200, RUCK
The mature-aged ruckman finally gets a game, but with Maric dominating, he might be used up forward.
Tim McIntyre (Adel) $94,700, MID/FOR
McIntyre has been elevated off the rookie list, and the 23 year old needs to make an impression right away.
Sunday extended benches
Luke Lowden (Haw) $113,200, RUCK
Derick Wanganeen (Haw) $113,200, MID
Jackson Allen (GC) $106,600, DEF/MID
Cameron Sutcliffe (Freo) $106,600, MID
About to burst:
Tom Campbell (WB) $94,700, RUCK - Ave: 67
Campbell has been pretty good in his first two matches, playing ruckman and deep forward. Consider as a down-grade.
Taylor Hine (GC) $113,200, DEF - Ave: 47
Hine has played the last two matches but has far from cemented his spot in a young side. Would be a point of difference back-up.
Cheapened Stars:
Jordan Lewis (Haw) $428,500, MID/FOR - Ave: 95, BE: 70
Lewis has returned from suspension very smoothly, and is still averaging close to 100. If your forward-line isn't done, you should seriously consider.
Andrew Carrazzo (Carl) $442,600, MID/DEF - Ave: 94, BE: 41
Did Carrazzo really injure his shoulder badly and miss two months? You wouldn't know, as his scores haven't changed. A great defensive option.
