1. Jonathan GILES Greater West Sydney
2. Leigh MONTAGNA St.Kilda
Perhaps the unluckiest side in the AFL this season, the Saints this week take on Melbourne at the MCG in a game they must win to keep any tiny chance of making the Finals alive. MONTAGNA enjoys playing the Dee’s, having a healthy average of 128 against them, including recent scores of 101 in 2012, 151 in 2011 and 155 in 2010. Unlikely to get any sort of tag with Dal SANTO and HAYES alongside him, MONTY could score heavily this week – particularly if the Saints get off the chain.
3. Michael BARLOW Fremantle
Freo ball-magnet BARLOW could be another to help get you across the line this week, up against the Crows in Adelaide. With an average of 133 against them, BARLOW has been impressive in recent times with back-to-back scores of 151 against them in 2010. Earlier this year he only managed a 96 against the Crows, but with a tidy 111 last week look to BARLOW to score big this week.
With GC playing GWS, naturally GAZZA is a popular captain choice. St Kilda (against Melbourne) and Hawthorn (against Port) are other clubs to keep an eye on for captaincy choices – Dal SASNTO, RIEWOLDT, HAYES, FRANKLIN, MITCHELL and RIOLI all look like having big days this weekend.
