Stefan Martin
2012 games: 7
2012 average: 78.4
2013 club: Brisbane
I'm still scratching my head at why the Demons let Martin go so easily. So talented and still with plenty of years ahead of him, the versatile ruckman will ply his trade with Brisbane next year.
Given his athleticism, height and strength, Martin could realistically play anywhere - from key forward or defence or ruck.
His inconsistent and often interrupted 2012 was nothing like his break-out 2011: where he played all but one game and averaged 86 points per game.
Maybe he didn't fit into Mark Neeld's plans or wasn't a good cultural fit, but the Lions will use him in tandem with Matthew Leuenberger. Ben Hudson performed valiantly this year, but due to this acquisition, don't expect much in 2013.
There will be no discount for Martin next season, but possibly dual-position status. You'd be very game to pick him though.
