Cale Morton
2012 games: 9
2012 average: 57.1
2013 club: West Coast Eagles
Where do we start with Cale Morton? He was drafted not all that long ago by Melbourne with pick #4 as a versatile outside midfielder. Big things were expected, as they always are with first-round selections, but for one reason or another, he has never developed into the player Melbourne wanted. He's come on so little in fact, that he became quite a whipping-boy for Melbourne supporters.
Morton's highest score for the year was 92 in round four against the Western Bulldogs, but despite playing six consectutive matches in this time, Morton only played three matches after round nine.
His career started in excellent fashion and after averaging a steady 61 in his first season, he averaged 84 points per game in 2009 and 81 in 2010.
Since then it's been downhill and 2012 was his worst season to date.
Can he have a similar career turnaround to his brother Mitch at Sydney? Cale's main problem will be getting a regular game in West Coast's super midfielder, so I'll be passing on him for now.
