2012 games: 20
2012 average: 64.5
2013 club: Melbourne
The Chris Dawes recruitment has been described everything from an interesting acquisition to a complete waste of time and money, but one thing is certain - he's no Gary Ablett. He's not going to win games for the Demons single-handedly.
After much spectualtion, Mitch Clark turned out to be a win for Melbourne and he was a great pick-up. In terms of SuperCoach, Clark had had a previous good season with Brisbane.
When considering Dawes for SuperCoach 2013, there is no good form or history to bank on. In 2010 (when he nudged out Jack Anthony) he averaged 75, in 2011 he averaged 79. This year, he averaged only 64.
Throw in the fact that he didn't score over one hundred in any match this year, and the fact that he's never kicked more than 30 goals in a season, and you figure that he won't be an instant hit demanding messiah status.
Expect a far from cheap price-tag too, so Chris Dawes is definately a pass.
