Danyle Pearce
2012 games: 20 2012 average: 85.8 2013 club: Fremantle
After Pearce requested a trade out of the Power a few days ago, Fremantle managed to lure him west. He'll become Ross Lyon's second Pearce (after Clancee), and given they could be on opposite wings at the same time, things might become confusing. He led the Power for rebounds from 50 and was second in total kicks this year.
Despite clear talent and the 2006 Rising Star award, Pearce has never kicked on to become a genuine elite SuperCoach score. In 2006 he averaged 82, in 2008 he average 80, in 2010 he averaged 85 and this year he averaged a career high 86 points per game.
He briefly showed his full potential in a three-week burst mid-way through the season, averaging an impressive 134 from rounds 8-10.
However, while the move to Fremantle will likely see him play in a more successful side, Fremantle won't offer him anything that wasn't available to him in - meaning that I can't see much improvement coming from Pearce.
And given that he'll be priced over $400,000 and will only be a midfielder, I can't see him in my side at this early stage.
