The rules for international players in the Big Bash is pretty straight-forward, and it can affect out fantasy big bash sides if we're not careful.Obviously Internationals bring flair, exciting and lift the quality of the competition - meaning they're a mainstay of many fantasy sides - look at Lasith Malinga and Muttiah Muralidaran for example.
To make sure you don't get caught out selecting a player who is currently representing his country, here's a list of teams' internationals and when they can represent their franchise:

Dimitri Mascarenhas - On a domestic contract (entire tournament)
Owais Shah - Entire tournament
Shoaib Malik - Entire tournament
Renegades:
Muttiah Muralidaran - Entire tournament
Mohammed Hafeez - Match three onwards
Jos Buttler - First two matches (v Stars, v Scorchers)

To check out when these matches are - check out the Big Bash official fixtures.
Australians:
And, of course, the One Day International series with England begins immediately after the Ashes. That means you're going to have to be prepared to have the following ruled out as well:
Phillip Hughes
Aaron Finch
Adam Voges
Callum Ferguson
Glenn Maxwell
James Faulkner
Nathan Coultner-Nile
Ben Cutting
Clint McKay
Xavier Doherty
So there you have it. Play your cards wisely and don't stock up on players who will be taken out of the Big Bash for higher honours.
Good luck and please leave a comment if you have any questions!
