Other big performances included the ever reliable captain choice of Scott Pendlebury (160), Bryce Gibbs destroyed the Tigers with 150 points, Josh Kennedy continued his dominance of GWS with 147 points, and clearance king Sam Mitchell (141), who always finds plenty of the pill against the Cats. He has always been a very unique pick and continues to be so, owned by just 8% of coaches.
Dane Swan
Swanny is just about the best captain choice for the week, after a great match last week scoring 136, the Pies meet Carlton for a round two blockbuster. Swan relishes playing the Blues, since 2010 he has played the blues on eight occasions averaging 32 touches and 116 SC points, including seven tons. Lock him in.
Kieren Jack
Jack has now taken the step into the elite midfield bracket; he is not the flashiest player around but will always get the job done. He racks up the contested ball and loves a goal. He feasted on the Suns last time they met with 158 SC points, and I’d expect another big one from the Swans co-captain.
Jobe Watson
The 2012 Brownlow medallist is at the peak of his career - and SuperCoach suits him to a tea. He does it all, contested ball, goals, and tackles – a match winner. His side meets a Melbourne Football Club in turmoil this week, Watson will continue his sensational form and he particularly enjoys playing the Dees. From his past three matches he has boasted three 120+ scores at an average of 133.7.
Lance Franklin
I’ve seen plenty of posts this week about “who should I trade Buddy for? He has such a tough run” don’t panic guys he’s a superstar for a reason. Playing against Lance Franklin is the tough run! He was blanketed by Tom Lonergan last week but Buddy won’t be kept down for long. Franklin loves playing the Eagles; in the past two years he has booted 11 goals (from a massive 20 scoring shots) and averaged 116 SC points in his three outings against West Coast.
Todd Goldstein
The out of favour ruckman was quickly back in favour last week after destroying Darren Jolly on his way to 121 points. He will come up against the inexperienced Geelong ruck department; expect another huge hit out tally and a big influence upon the match.
